Butterflies abound outdoors, too!

Guests to Strong National Museum of Play are greeted by the Discovery Garden located just outside the museum’s main entrance.  Step through the dramatic garden gate into an urban oasis abundant with trees, shrubs, flowering plants, and ground cover selected specifically to attract butterflies, birds, and other wildlife. The garden enjoys eastern exposure including abundant morning sunshine. 

This provides a pleasant setting for all, while twisting paths and hidden nooks invite kids to explore.  Come sit for a spell in the gazebo and take it all in.  The bubbling of the pond, sunshine on your shoulders, and a fragrant breeze will transport you to a place of tranquility amidst the excitement of your museum visit. 

Discovery Garden is open seasonally and admission is free.
